Sandpaper for the Rough Spots

The book begins with a therapist and author's experience as a mother of five children, employed in a helping profession, who is wondering how to change her anxiety and depression into something positive. She considers the loss of  her conventional life as a mother, wife and member of the community, and begins to find new tools for change. The book passes on her knowledge of couples going through separation, and tools for becoming happier as a single parent.

"The new life of the single parent is one that you can only describe if you have been there. The challenges are amazing, and the parents who make their way through this journey are my heroes", says author Mary O'Connor.

Today is a good day to treat yourself to a self help book with compassion for the single parent, and handy hints for choosing tools that will sustain you along your single parentland journey.
